Donald Trump and Coronavirus, Covid 19

It seems that with Coronavirus it is a Catch 22

WHAT ABOUT THE GOOD OLD DAYS?

I can remember as a child my mother took the kids along to the Hospital. One of my sisters had caught an infectious disease. None of us were allowed inside the hospital to see our sister. But I could see her through the window as she was waving to us.

These were the days when people took infectious diseases seriously. My sister got well and none of us went sick. Evidently it was common sense in those days not to play with death.

But what do we see today? Today people would call our visit foolish and an attempt to take freedom away from us. Don’t wear mask, just get close, hug each other for God is with us. He will protect you from any sickness. He has promised that.

This tune is also sung by David Knight of the Alex Jones Infowars TV team. He says it is a terrible thing to stop people from going to church and hear God’s word. It would heal them. So just go to church and the Coronavirus won’t touch you. God protects his children.

But the Bible says quite a different thing at Matthew 6 where the ”Model Prayer” is found. You should read the whole chapter, for it is quite an eye-opener. As at verse 6 where it says:

”You, however, when you pray, go into your private room and, after shutting your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you”.

Can it be any clearer? You don’t need a church, this is why this text is frowned upon by churches as it would seem to make them superfluous. And in this case a potential dedly weapon.

It is time to disconnect. Hang up the direct phone to God and contemplate what next to do. Rest up a bit and simmer down. Remember God rested on the 7th day. There are a lot of people out there wanting to sell their coffins. Consider your ”private room”. Take down your Bible from the shelf and read Matthew 6. It seems astoundingly near to reality.
